We Tripantu and more

Students have continued the week with classes and activities. One of the activities we did today was participating in the We Tripantu with the Mapuche people. The Mapuches are natives from Chile and today they started their celebration for the new year. The We Tripantu is an all day celebration and the students were able to witness the start of the celebration.

Bienvenida en Viña (the welcome)

We arrived to the location where students will be taking their classes and doing their afternoon activities. The families were waiting and were very excited to meet their kids. Each student was introduced to their family followed by performances and introductions. It was a great way to dive right in and get a glimpse at Chilean culture. Last week

During our last week, we had the going away party and show. Students read poems, danced, sang, acted and enjoyed time with family and friends. What a great way to finish these amazing 6 weeks.

5th week

It was a good week. The week started with classes and our usual afternoon activities. On Thursday we went to Valparaiso to paint a mural and we finished the week with a trip to Isla Negra and Pomaire.
